With the contents out, it was time to begin demo

The upstairs floor joists had "residue" from years of occupancy by uninvited varmints.
More nasty residue. This material was later sanded off the joists.
Sam seemed to enjoy busting out the old upstairs floor.

After a few passes with the floor sander, we could see the beautiful pine floor beneath.
Sam was working the edger while Carl operated the drum sander.
New logs were placed between joists above the north wall.

After the sanding, 2 coats of sealer was put on the floor, as part of a 4-coat commercial grade finish. This shot was after the 1st coat of sealer.
